Re: Does the OpenSpace3D support undo operation?

Hi,

No, it's not supported for the moment, but it's on the todo list.
We need to talk how to handle it, to implement it, and to know what the user will be authorized to "undo" (only 3d movements, tree hierarchy moves???) or not, and how they could be combined. Another big point is "undoing" object deletion (we have to store all information concerning a deleted element!).

But Arkeon will explain it better than me big_smile

Maybe ... an automatic (date & time or number) save ?
In a Configuration panel, the user can choose to save :
- each add / delete an 3d object
- each add / delele / edit a PlugIT
- keep the N lastest files
- etc ...

He can reload a previous work... Ok, it's not a really undo

Re: Does the OpenSpace3D support undo operation?

Actual scene manipulations and plugITs are all in real time (for a futur online and multi-user editor mode)

for the moment additionnal resources added with a mesh for example can depend of several other mesh in Ogre.
we could begin the Undo/Redo only for some manipulation type like PRS change on objects or plugIT Edition.

there is allready a task for that in redmine.

I am of the view that ctrl+z is an essential feature. Needless to say the game looks monotonous without it. I personally believe that a user should be authorized to undo tree hierarchy moves. He should also be given the option to undo object deletion. I hope that this feature will be implemented soon.
