Hi,
We are students working on a project using OS3d and the Oculus DK2.
Thing is, we can not use the Rift in direct mode (it dosn't work when we launch the scene), and when we use the extended one, scol.exe seems to crash (white screen in the Oculus view, with the error window).
We worked with dev kit 1 last year, and such a problem never happened.
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance !

Hi,
Can you give more details about your issue ?
Scol and OS version, drivers, error message, screenshot or all useful things to understand / reproduce this.
The DK2 is not perfectly supported yet.
Thanks for your feedback

Hi,
Well I don't have the way to get those informations right now, but I will tomorrow morning (all the project is on some friends' computer).
Thanks for the answer.
I'll keep in touch

Hello
I use DK2 in extended mode / directx9 with OS3D
I didn't had the time yet to port to the last DK2 SDK version but it should still work.
If you still have the issue :
- try on another computer (some laptop support DK2 badly)
- send me an export of the project so I could test and debug
- also try with the last setup from the svn repository

First, thanks for your answers, iri and arkeon.
We tried to use different computers (i guess five), all of them working with Windows 7 or 8. My scol version is 6.4.5. Result doesn't change though.
If we turn on the oculus (in extended mode) first, and then launch the player, (for example with oculus nation), we can hear the music , but what we see in the oculus is a white screen:
If we first launch the player and turn on the oculus, scol crashes.
We also tried on different .xos, our project for example but the demo oculus nation too, or others projects from last year.
So we can send an export of the project, but the problem being there with any .xos, it should come from somewhere else.

hmm ok
what is the version of the oculus SDK and Firmware on the computer ?
the last supported version was 0.5 beta the current 0.6 beta change everything and remove support for DX9 so didn't had the time to look at it yet.
just in case can you try this setup ? https://www.arkeon.be/trunk/setups/inst … plugin.exe
if it doesn't help I'll rebuild a setup just in case, but the current developer version have a lot of hard changes in the engine. so no guarantee
(Ogre 1.10, better Augmented reality detection, lot of optims and work in progress on Android port)

SDK version is: 1.7 (SDK0.6.0.0)
Firmware: 2.12
So, yes, it may comes from the SDK version.
I tried the setup you sent me but it seems to be the same I already had actually.
