set the 3d object position

how to set the position of the 3d object? when i hit the play button,  the object seems so close, i can only see small part of it.
can i set the object far away from camera view? but when i put the marker, the object show up, and when it lost the object return to the position who doesn't show by camera, is it possible? hmm
i'd try the hide plugIT, but it only hidding the object. the object stay where the marker last found, right? sad
anyone help me please?

Re: set the 3d object position

Hello, if the object seems too close with the marker, simply change the object Scale, or the Scale ratio in the marker plugIT

Re: set the 3d object position

add the desired position in the link parameters. (double click on the link circle)

to set the position and rotation at the same time use the "Set coords" action with the param :
0 0 0
0 0 0

ok my fault ^^

try with the beta version of OS3D (the current version in development) i've just uploaded it.
install scol voyager first
https://arkeon.dyndns.org/svn-scol/trun … plugin.exe

several things has changed in the ergonomy and a lot of optims specially on scene loader which can be more than 90% faster ^^

then OS3D :

Re: set the 3d object position

hi arkeon, its me again
after installed the update my bug already fix, but theres another problem hmm
my distance plugIT seems not work well, sometime it give action but sometime nothing happen sad
i use 3 markers, ex. A, B, and C. and 4 object ex. 1, 2, 3, 4.
compare the A1 and B2 object with a distance plugIT,
when A1 and B2 are close, using object follow plugIT an invisible "dummy" would follow
the A1 object, then come the C3 with another distance plugIT i compare the invisible dummy with C3,
when dummy and C3 are close, it would show my 4 object and hide the 1, 2, 3.
do u have any other way to do this?

Re: set the 3d object position

this should work, try debugging the distances  values with the misc/debug console plugIT.
add the link dist.current distance->debug.Print

so you could see if the in / out distance is correct or not

Re: set the 3d object position

if you look at the current distance value, you could see witch value should send the in / out event when your objects are closes.

With markers and object scales it is not easy to determine the needed distance, so this is a trick smile
