In waiting a native Scol version (always in development), the GNU Linux users can use Openspace3D with Wine.
For this, I made a hack to use Openspace3D under GNU Linux via Wine.
All RSA - AES encryption are ignored (unlike the MS Window version).
Os3D works proprely in Debian 6 and 7.x, Wine 1.4 and later.
It works too in Ubuntu 14.10, OpenSUSE 13.1 and Fedora 20 (always with Wine) : i virtualized these last distros to try, some 3d bugs occurs owing to bad OpenGL support.
(Debian : 7.5, Wine : 1.4.1.4, Window Manager : Openbox)
Remark :
Unlike previous Scol versions, the Wintericks script should not be required.
Remark :
If an error occurs when you try to launch Os3D, you should check the graphic driver and you may update it.
See the README file in the downloaded zip for install and other informations.
For os3d 1.7 :

No, the library is already "disabled" because it is not loaded.
I modified the os3dlib/netcomlib.pkg file only. See in the zip.
This hack works with os3d, not with another Scol app with AES or RSA en(un)cryption.
