Re: support 3dmax files

Hello,

No Max files are proprietary and can not be supported. (in Unity they launch max in background and use max to export to fbx)

OpenSpace3D 1.7 will support FBX format.
For now you can use Easy Ogre Exporter for 3ds max http://www.ogre3d.org/tikiwiki/tiki-ind … e+Exporter

Re: support 3dmax files

1.7 will be released in some days smile (I still have some tests and content to make)
Educartec gave their 3D database free for OpenSpace3D users, a setup to install it will be available in 1.7

Re: support 3dmax files

The project don't change, yes it still free.
they is a lot of new features in 1.7. be patient I will communicate soon about it.

OS3D is not intended to be included in C++ project, this is first a project for non developers.
But you could embed it using the activeX plugin like we does in internet explorer.

Re: support 3dmax files

For Linux with Wine, a old bug prevents the Openspace3d use.
Scol works properly without the Security library. But it needs it to os3d.

[INFOS] Loading plugins/security.dll plugin.
[ERROR] An error occurs while loading plugins/security.dll plugin, the symbol entry point "ScolLoadPlugin" was not found!

(Debian 7, Wine 1.4.1.4)
