Head tracking

I accompanied OpenSpace3D some time and realize that there is a strong commitment of the development team to implement new functionality and features with each new version.
I wonder if there is prediction, or even a positive sign for the implementation of head tracking feature. This feature would open up new implementations for OpenSpace3D.
There are many OpenCV codes that could be leveraged for this implementation.

Thank you for your attention smile

Re: Head tracking

Hello,

There is already several head tracking implementation.

The VRPN plugIT allow you to use VR system for tracking.
The oculus implementation allows Head orientation tracking
All first person navigation plugIts allows head tracking by control action

I've started a work on face recognition and face tracking from a webcam also.
The current step will be in the next release, but is't hard to get a stable 3D coordinate of the head from a simple webcam.
Some 3D face tracking algorithm exist but they are not fully documented, and the only opensource library (facetracker) is not free for commercial use.
