Re: about openspace3d

Hello,

i don't really understand your question.

Briefly, when you (or another user) launch os3d (first, second, third, ... n time it's the same process) :
- A primary virtual Scol machine is loaded in your system memory : this is the " supervisor ", the " scol engine ". When the loading is complete, a Scol icon is displayed in the Windows task bar. It manages all running Scol applications.
- A child virtual Scol machine is loaded : this depends to the primary VM (for example, you close the primary VM or it exits (a fatal error occurs), the child VM will be destroyed too).
- Each VM contains the full Scol APIs as defined in the usm.ini file (in the root Scol install directory)
- In the child VM, after the Scol APIs, the source code of os3d is loaded and compiled (Scol is an interpreted language)
- When the compilation is finished, the application is launched and the user interface is shown.

When you close os3d,
- the source code of os3d is freeing
- the Scol APIs is released
- the child virtual machine is destroyed
- depending of your Scol configuration (click right on the Scol icon in the task bar, selects Settings and maintenance), the supervisor may be destroyed too at the last
