how timer work?

Hi,
i just want to ask about how the timer work?
i'm so confused when i using this plugIT.

so, when I fill the period of time in the timer plugIT,
is this is same meaning with 'delay' or 'duration' ?

Yes the top event is sent when the setted period is passed. the period start when the timer is started
