My hall of monsters

I may add a few monsters to this room, maybe some controls and sounds and other stuff laying around my computer from preopenspace projects...I'll use it as a testbed to add features to as I learn openspace. Monster is based on H.P. Lovecraft's "Shadow out of Time"...the ogre people have named their releases out after some of Lovecraft's creatures. Learn about the story here...it's both a scary and silly story

but the normal bump shader don't seems to work ^^

i used material 07 from the shaders example....the lightest weight cpu wise. smile

I added an idling spaceman to the monster, the two of them look like the beginnings of some kind of (rock? techno? ambient? metal?) band.

Next I'll try to attach the spaceman to the camera shell...I'll  probably need some help in making it so that he automatically walks with the arrow keys and then goes into a default idle animation (which is in the scene) when none of the arrow keys are pressed down.

arg you're really unluck with files names hmm
for a non comprehensive reason (windows bug ?) windows is unable to register the files 10.28.2011_ and 10.28spacemanproject... in the cache partition when loading from the web ^^
I tried to debug, but this is the standard fopen function who failed in the user/appData directory (again a windows rights bug ?)
so please forget the files path who begin by numbers and contain dots to be sure ....

i'll rename the files without dots or numbers. sad not3 to self: no spaces and forget about those dots!

I found the bug (not in fopen but before)
so it'll be fixed in the next release smile

i removed the file names and folders that included numbers and "." symbols, looks ok on my winxp piv with geforce fx5500 and win7 i3 core with intel hd graphics 3000.

Well, thanks for your feedback.
A not removed very old function caused this error.
In the next release, "." and others symbols/numbers should be ok (os3d and others app, if any).
