Hello,
this new OpenSpace3D version starts with some new features. more will come in next Beta.
Download on https://www.openspace3d.com/downloads/OpenSpace3d_BETA
- Vocal recognition of key words on Android and Windows (check the Car showroom demo), this use Vosk library so all is local and works offline.
- the target plugIT now works as it should.
- A new network plugIT called Instantiate user work as the instantiate plugIT but for each network user
- Pico XR, this update should correct an issue with passthrough on the last headset update. It also manage the hand tracking feature.
- Gamepad controller on windows can now use the rumble effect.
- New materials with PBS support

Thanks for the beta. Also we need to improve the items plugin because I still have problems with this plugin. The fact of changing materials and textures for items is missing. It also lacks the fact of controlling the items in a precise direction (a bit like the plugit object control) and the fact of assigning a physics for all the items.
I'll come back with my impressions on this beta in version 1.92

Hello,
Thanks for the new beta !

I tried beta 1.92 and I encountered some problems.
The 4 controllers work but after trying once and restarting the application a second time I have a bug none of my controllers are recognized by the application and no button works except the button that I mapped for all controllers. Also when I start the vibration on the 1st controller with the 3 joypad plugs, OpenSpace3D crashes. It's a shame that the vibrations are only for the moment on Windows and not on other platforms, but that would require in-depth work on the joypad plugit.
Here is my example:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Vx-l4HrI5HpC5BoSPY63tKDk-b5gAoOp/view?usp=sharing
Otherwise everything else works fine.

Finally after checking the 4 controllers work. It's just the application that decides the random order of the controllers each time. The application only crashes when one of the controllers is missing in my opinion.
Offline
Finally the application does crash when a controller controlling the joypad plugit is missing but also when I activate the vibration on one of the controllers.

Beta 2 is online
- Joystick plugIT now use an index, 0 for old behavior (get the first available we found), 1 for the first found, 2 for the second...
- network plugITs have now more functions, a sample for userInstance is available in examples/advanced/network

I tested the beta 2 version and the joypad plugin now works well and no longer crashes. I saw that it was possible to control the Custom Interface plugin with 2 joysticks which control the same cursor. It would be nice if each controller had its own cursor when used with the Custom Interface plugin but that will be for another time.
Otherwise for the next time there is also the items plugin with functions to add such as independent physics for all items.

I tried the plug it user instance out of curiosity but it gives exactly the same problem as the plugit instantiate. However, I find the plugit items too limited.
Offline
About the plugit items it was to put all my projectiles in a straight line without being subject to gravity. Indeed I found the solution by applying Set World Gravity a 0 0 0 as a third input and it seems to work. But otherwise the plugit items and instantiate are correct.

Otherwise I can't wait for version 1.92 to come out. However, things seem calm at the moment on the forum.

I found a bug in the demos and it's in the AlienCrash demo. When I load the game the level does not appear with the 3D models. Only the sky and the GUI appear.

Here an example to disable gravity on loaded item

I find your example good. Perfect for simulating asteroids for a game or a science fiction simulation or for simulating floating islands. However, it doesn't change anything about my projectiles in my previous demos. My projectiles no longer go in a straight line and fall under the effect of gravity. However I fixed this with Set World Gravity to 0 0 0 and all my projectiles go in a straight line. Is it possible to give a direction to the items in the link parameters without the physics tools plugin? Is there a way to change the item material?

Otherwise I can't wait to see the big update in the next beta. I hope it's AI because that's the only thing OpenSpace3D is really missing. Of course when I talk about AI I'm talking about simple AI like chasing and fleeing and avoiding obstacles.
Offline
nope it's not AI ^^
It's the use of last Ogre RTSS shader generator with the possibility to use roughness texture for PBS rendering.
I hope to be able to get it out soon.
Can you send me your sample so I could better understand your need with items plugIT
Offline
Too bad it's not the AI. Maybe in a future version.
However it's nice that the next version adds PBR. This is what OpenSpace3D lacked the most. However, do you plan to add Metalness for the PBR? Given that RTSS has been added, does this mean the future presence of Vulkan as an API for OpenSpace3D?

In accordance to the glTF2.0 specification, roughness is sampled from the G channel and metalness from the B channel.
The Ogre vulkan API still lack of multiple render target used by our engine. I'll try to see if I can change this when I'll have time.

can you make a pkos file please

Concerning my files I added the necessary export for the meshes:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OjFiyTHwu4VE9ngRCmV5kukZM_OXFNkm/view?usp=share_link

Concerning the PBRs I thought of a plugit or a tool.
The Render plugit or a render tool for rendering 3D images on OpenSpace3D from camera. Useful for animation, animated scenes and 3D rendering picture. The plugin or tool would simply create a video in the format of your choice (MP4, WMV, AVI, etc.) or a series of rendered images in the format of your choice (PNG, JPEG, etc.). This sequence of images could then be put into video editing software to recreate the rendering of the 3D scene sequence by sequence.
I have already studied in 3D animation and we use PBR and rectangular lights a lot for rendering and lighting the scene.I know PBR well.I can't wait to see the graphics it will give in OpenSpace3D.
