Arcore like?

Hi guys,

I was having a look at google's arcore https://developers.google.com/ar/discover/
Would it be possible for you guys to introduce things like:

Motion tracking- allows the phone to understand and track its position relative to the world.
Environmental understanding allows the phone to detect the size and location of flat horizontal surfaces like the ground or a coffee table.
Light estimation- allows the phone to estimate the environment's current lighting conditions.

This would be a great addition to openspace3d.

Hello,

yes we plan to get a look at SLAM once we get some time. The Android SDK is not multi platform and this is only for devices with the very last version of Android.
So we'll have to implement something else for all platforms.

Artoolkit do not support Slam yet.
Also the project have been abandoned by daqri, developers are now on http://www.artoolkitx.org/

what about ARKit Framework it's already ported to unity as a plugin

ARkit is Apple only. This is not interesting for us since the goal is to have the same features on the editor and for multiplatform
