Re: Mixed Reality using google cardboard glasses

yes just use the orientation sensor plugit with FPS plugit and ar camera
without moving the camera around just put your flying dino around the 0 0 0 world position.

Re: Mixed Reality using google cardboard glasses

hello arkeon
here is the result

Flash required

but i have many questions:
1 - why i should turn left by 90 degree to see the 3d meshes.
2 - why the sun material became gray.
3- if there is any method can be used to zoom in and zoom out camera using smartphone sensors

Re: Mixed Reality using google cardboard glasses

great!

1 - no idea it depend of your mesh origin
2 - check the texture format, maybe open and save it again in standard jpeg format
3 - you can use a bluetooth game pad or maybe the magnet sensor to use the magnet values, or the  this one works for me with the joypad plugit on android : https://www.amazon.fr/Saxonia-Bluetooth … gshopfr-21

Hello arkeon

at first I'd like to thank you for all your support and assistance you provide to me.

as you can notice I've succeeded to make a 3d mesh facing the camera and I'm also fix the sun material

but I'm facing many problems here

1- the 3D mesh automatically moves to the left and I don't know why this is happening

2-  when clicking on a cardboard mode all  spherical shapes turn to oval shapes

3-  the light halo (volumetric light) disappears in android application

and finally ctrl+z Not working for me

here is the scene file

Re: Mixed Reality using google cardboard glasses

I'll take a look at your project.

1 - maybe you phone magnetometer get some interference.

2 - hmm well I'll look at the code, the camera ratio should be updated here

3 - yes the shaders are not converted yet to opengles, also for compositors effects

4 - ctrl + Z only works in scene editor not in plugITs.

Re: Mixed Reality using google cardboard glasses

2 - in fact this is because you use ARcapture, by default the camera matrix is set to match with the camera picture.
just change the camera matrix option to disable in arcapture.

Re: Mixed Reality using google cardboard glasses

Unfortunately after many attempts to find out the cause of this problem

1- run the application on another smart phone

2 - changing values and remove fbs plugit

3 - replace the solar system scene with simple mesh like primitives

but i'm still face the same problem and 3D objects automatically

move to the left

any help please roll:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Re: Mixed Reality using google cardboard glasses

Yes I managed to use some bias on the gyro values to avoid the weird rotation
It will be available in next release.

If you need it I can make a beta version of android builds

Re: Mixed Reality using google cardboard glasses

you can download and install the android beta update here (ignore the security message > continue anyway) : https://svn.scolring.org/trunk/setups/a … ndroid.exe

tell me if you find other issues

Thanks Arkeon
Now everything is working perfectly
In fact, I was hoping this work was completed last week, and although my knowledge of unity and vuforia, but the use of openspace 3d will shorten a lot of time.
thanks again

Re: Mixed Reality using google cardboard glasses

hmm I did correct the close plugit already. (I don't remember if this is in the release)
try replace this file : https://svn.scolring.org/trunk/scol_app … player.pkg in program files/scol voyager/partition_LockedApp/tools/os3dplayer

are you sure about the rotation ? I did a lot of tests and it seems corrected to me.
Its this just the same or a lot slower rotation ?
where is your country ? (in case this is a earth rotation issue)

hello arkeon

by using os3d

Flash required

by using another approach

Flash required

But I prefer to use OS3D  because it is more easily and can do many complex things.

no it's not the same it's too slow rotation

I live and work in Bahrain

my smart phone is galaxy note4

Re: Mixed Reality using google cardboard glasses

ok thanks I'll remake my tests an try to find a more correct way to avoid the left rotation.
strange thing is I use almost the same code as the google cardboard implementation

Re: Mixed Reality using google cardboard glasses

can you try this version https://svn.scolring.org/trunk/setups/a … ndroid.exe
I hope it will be better this time ^^
I can't find any good info about removing earth rotation from gyroscope values.
