Simulate the weather changing

I want to simulate a scene that on the begin the weather is sunny, but some times later the weather changes to rainstorm. How should I do? And when the rainstrom is coming, the trees and grasses in the scene will swing in the wind, and the size of swing should depends on the strength of the wind. How to do it?

Re: Simulate the weather changing

hmm I didn't made a plugIT yet to dynamically change the sky setting. (add it to my TODO list)

for the trees animation you should use skeletal or morph animation. the better way is to use a simple vertex shader.

and for rain use particle systems.

you want something like that ?

I added sky plugIT to dynamically change the clouds parameters with a transition time.
